Reviews for the Dell Latitude E6500
Full Metall Jacket. Like many other manufacturers, Dell also launches several new models on time for the start of new Intel Centrino 2 platform primarily in the business area. The E6500 series is thought primarily for professional office users with an increased mobility need and high quality demand. With the high-quality magnesium case the notebook sets the bar particularly high in respect to stability, for the competition.

This is a nice laptop with some good features coming as standard. We love the backlit keyboard and screen auto brightness control. Just be aware that you probably won’t stick close to the base price if you start configuring this laptop to your own spec.

NVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M: Based on the GeForce 9300M GS but optimized for the stable business use (special drivers and bios). Supports PureVideo HD to help the CPU decode HD videos. Memory speed: 400 MHz GDDR2, 700 MHz GDDR3
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
Intel Core 2 Duo: This is the Core Duo and Core Solo successor with a longer pipeline and 5-20% more speed without more power consumption. As an addition to the Core Duo design there exists a fourth decoder, an amplified SSE-unit and an additional arithmetical logical unit (ALU).
The Core 2 Duo for laptops is identical to the desktop Core 2 Duo processors but the notebook-processors work with lower voltages (0.95 to 1188 Volt) and a lower Frontside bus clock (1066 vs 667 MHz). The performance of equally clocked notebooks is 20-25% lower than Desktop PCs because of the lower Frontside bus clock and the slower hard disks.
The P9500 is a fast middle class dual core CPU for laptops and basically a Core 2 Duo T9400 with only 25 Watt TDP.
